@Raaskot I tested the file: in this case "Reset Transform" is not applicable. Both layer transforms are already flattened, but this does not mean the object is converted to curves. When the child layer is selected, the parent layer transform will transform the bounding box. All these transforms can be seen in the Shape Effects panel. So in this case, only the Convert to Curves helps

In Macromedia FreeHand - my usual reference ad nauseam - the Click Through action is done by holding Ctrl + Right-click to cycle through the stack. Hold Shift as well to add or remove Click Through candidates to/from current selection. Hold Alt as well, to Deep Select into groups, composites, clipping groups, to add or remove Click Through candidates to/from current selection. BR/ Lars Herold

@VectorStyler I don't actually have a problem right now—perhaps I didn't explain it properly? Or maybe you misunderstood me for some reason. It’s just about a question: I was simply wondering at what point a stroke takes the color sample that then colors the stroke itself. Your answer regarding the center of the repeated object is fine enough for me. Thanks you.

@Raaskot But it puzzles me what the Distribute section is for. It works quite erratic. Distribute should do an equal spacing between the selected margins (shown in the icon)

Did incremental Backup options get moved?

@Raaskot Looks like the crop tool keeps the image centered. I will try to find a solution for this An other way to crop is to convert to curves and use the Node tool to edit the path of the image.

@nocturnalYL If youn have a HDR display, try the 16-Bit/Component mode in the View -> Display Options -> Color -> Precision field. EDIT: but it does not support HDR rendering (the color domains are different in HDR).

@mackotomi The only thing I can tell you is to update your computer's drivers and controllers. During the 1.3 update, my computer went crazy asking me for an update.
