<![CDATA[Layer transparency preview: difference between...]]>If I use the panel Transparency, I can see the effect of changing the opacity slider immediately but not when I use the 'Edit' button of the layer panel. Is this by design because first I thought it was not possible... until I use -by chance- the Transparency panel.

From panels (nonmodal), changes immediate.

But in this case check the Preview button (just above the opacity edit box) and then these changes will be shown immediately.
