Two weeks ago, I introduced VectorStyler to a client in Chad. After purchasing VectorStyler, the client reported that they couldn't print. The printer they were using was purchased with my assistance, and I also bought the same printer for myself. I tested the printer and confirmed that it indeed couldn't print. Over the past few days, I have been teaching the client some basic operations of VectorStyler, creating several templates they needed, and showing them how to make modifications. Currently, they are exporting PDF and TIFF files from VectorStyler and then importing them into other software for printing.

Today, I conducted some tests regarding the printing issue. I tried several different brands and models of printers, and they all worked fine except for the one purchased for the client. However, when I tried printing using various other software, it worked without any problems. Only VectorStyler seems to have printing issues, indicating a compatibility problem. If I have time tomorrow, I will record the printing process and send you an email with the recording and the printer driver.

This is a known. Bizarrely, however, it won't print a Layer group that has reduced opacity. I seem to remember encountering this before. It's almost like it is being treated as a template Layer.

Having the ability to add bleeds in our PNGs/JPG exports would help get around this as printing in-software is not so critical where color management is usually handled best from software focused specifically for printing. (with appropriate export and correct profiles).

It "prints", but it doesn't output anything (ie shoots paper straight through). With this document, I was using a custom size.

I did record that session. I have the files and also will include a screenshot of the printer make.

Normally with this printer, I setup everything from the print driver. If I enable "Print Preview" in Brother, it will always show the preview for confirmation before the print job is actually pushed to the printer. For some reason, in VS this setting is ignored, which might indicate there's some communication missed there.

I noticed that he was using the French version of Windows 11. However, he is unable to print any content. When attempting to print, the paper moves about 2cm and then stops. No content is printed. On the same printer, any built-in programs provided by the operating system can print without any issues. I tried several Office software, and they all printed correctly as well. The problem only arises with VectorStyler. Today, I also tested various other software, and apart from VectorStyler, all the other software can print correctly. I will send the files tomorrow if I have time.
