      @encart Nice option. 👍 I might have stumbled over it but I forgot (I kinda prefer to use the Path Sketch tool tbh). 🙂

      @vectoradmin When holding the spacebar as @encart describes above, the node doesn't snap to another node when 'Snap to Points is enabled, so this nice feature is a bit limited.

      @Boldline and @vectoradmin I think it's a mistake there in 'Keyboard Shortcuts' — the shortcut is somehow different.

        @encart It's a lot like holding down the command/control key while using the pen tool - allows you to modify the node placement and handles

          @vectoradmin For consistency, I think it would make sense to use Option + Up/Down Arrow for increasing and decreasing the leading (the space between rows of text).

            You think it was supposed to be option-left or right arrow all along?
            I remember bringing this topic up a long time ago but had forgotten where it ended up then

              The developer has to know that.

                @Boldline @b77 @encart The Option + Left/Right arrow for tracking is in the default shortcuts for tracking change.

                  @b77 There is Option+Command+Up/Down for leading.

                    @vectoradmin Option-Command + Up/Down Arrow doesn't do anything to text here. I also tried with Control-Option + Up/Down Arrow.

                      @b77 Only works when the text tool is active with selected text.

                        @vectoradmin What is the reason for having this limitation?

                          @b77 Option-Command + Up/Down Arrow shortcut is used for Object -> Arrange -> Bring to Front / Send to Back in selection mode.
                          Command + Up/Down is used for Forward / Backward arrangement.

                            Then why not have Option (Alt) + Up/Down Arrow for changing the row spacing, no matter the mode you are in (just select the text and it should work), just as Option + Left/Right Arrow works for tracking? Is there any conflict here?

                              @b77 That does the scaling now. (nudging the selected object size with the keyboard)

                                Text objects are special because fonts are involved — is this vertical s̶c̶a̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ distorting of fonts really useful and often needed? I would just drag the top or bottom handle if I wanted that (but 99% of the time I don't).

                                I would go for consistent shortcuts (Option + Arrows, or something else) for both tracking and leading and make them work also when you're not in text editing mode. That would be a fast workflow in my opinion.
