How about a Shape Builder tool - with mirroring or symmetry?

I've revamped my initial thought a bit. At first I thought of a mirror/symmetry option
that could be built into the Shape Builder tool.One idea I like better now is that the result of the Shape Builder tool on the original grid,
should also appear on any cloned version of the of the grid.Because this would opens far more possibilities this way.

(As the title says. I played a little with a grid I created myself
for Pattern creation. And I thought that a mirroring or Symmetry option
for the Shape Builder Tool could be useful.Or is my imagination running away with me ?
After all, with clones you can already create nice
symmetries via shapes.What do the majority think

Here is my symmetrical Grid, but Shape Builder
will not work symmetrical. Btw. i dont know

My Workaround is to use cloned Shapes
in symmetrical order.Video: Symmetrical with Shapes
Another Idea was, Shape Builder could work
as it does by now if the Results will also appear
on Clones. This way i could also build any
Symmetry. But it seems it doesnt work on Clones. -

If i think about it i like the Option where the Shape Tool
would also work on Clones the most.
Because this way i will have more possibilities then
with just a Symmetry Option in Shape Builder.
