Modifier key to select object underneath

I couldn't find (or the feature not available) the option to select an object underneath another object. In AD modifier key ALT+ and click once with move/select tool is used to select immediate object underneath the object and click again to select the next object

@Jayanta-Das Same situation here. Was not working yesterday and I checked once again now and problem does not exist.

Tagging on because it made me wonder - is using the alt key to select below the same result as using one of these options?
