Polygonal Lasso

Am I the only one that cannot make the Polygonal Lasso tool select anything in the layers panel?

I can draw lines and double click whereever forever with nothing selected and the polygon is not closed either. I see a popup showing a number from 1 to 9 (with only three shapes in the canvas) but they are not selected.

Box selection and Lasso tool works fine.

Also confusing that the pointer is not changed to indicate what selection tool that is active.

@Ingolf There seems to be a problem here, opened a bug on this one.
