      I feel something similar.
It may have a slightly different function.

      --When the object is selected,
--Move the cursor to the first field of the related palette and
--It would be nice if there was a * shortcut that could move the fields in the palette.

      • This can be done a little at present.

For example, QuarkXpress Com + op + Shift + M.
Once you've done this, you can control the numbers in the palette with the keyboard.

@861475_VctSt I do not think it needs to be more complex than an increase/decrease size function that is easily accessible (like using the brackets). But perhaps I misunderstood your suggestion?

          Click "stroke" palette "width"
Up key, down key, is this operation useless?

@861475_VctSt No worries about language! Happy that there is dialog we just need to try and understand each other 🙂

You are right that with some clicks (open stroke panel, click on a box, adjust width) the stroke width can be changed with the up/down arrow. But that is not exactly what I am struggling with.

It is more with the 'brush like tools' that there is no easy way to change the widths. Example Eraser -> Double click on the tool to open Eraser options, adjust the slider to change size. Click okay, panel closes. On further required adjustments, repeat actions. Just tedious.

A tool like that with a certain size, I should be able to fluidly adjust size. Same applies for liquify tool, vector brush etc.

              Hi.

--Shift + Enter (with extended keyboard)
              --The "Eracer option" dialog appears
--Adjust with Tab key, up key, down key
              Is this also useless?

Of course, I think it's more comfortable if the dialog box doesn't appear.

@861475_VctSt I think combinations like Shift+Enter are inconvenient and really not necessary for an operation like this. As said, in AI & AD it is done with [ ] and in Inkscape with <>(no need for dialog, and on the fly).

Such functions are usually added at the time of version upgrade.
So, we're looking forward in the future.

@syllie the square brackets should do that for the eraser tool.

@vectoradmin It does not do that at the moment, so one for your backlog I think 🙂

@syllie Yes, it seems that it only works on Mac.

Brackets are working just fine for me with the eraser. The size pops up in the middle of the document display as I am adjusting it and with the eraser it seems to work.

I get the same size popup with other tools (such as the brush and the pencils) but the size that is set seems to be ignored with the other tools.

@fde101 you must be working on a mac perhaps? On win10 it definitely is not working.

@syllie yes, I am on a Mac. Agree that if it is not working for the eraser for you that might be Windows-specific, but there is an issue on the Mac too in that it isn't working for the brush or pencil.

@syllie Can confirm that on Windows 10 is not working here either. Will be fixed in the next build (might need a different key).

@vectoradmin Thanks - I can see the dynamic size changing works now in build 1.0.018 RC1 on Win 10. The label indicating size is helpful, but it could be a tad smaller.

Seems to be working with the pencil and brush now on the Mac also.
