OK, I failed, there must be a way to stop VS from scaling PDF data on import ?? I've had a look through the excellent PDF manual, but can't find anything - nor in the prefs.

I know, I'm stupid and I've just missed it and someone will popup in the next 10 mins and tell me how stupid I really am and it's easy, you just (insert your smart answer here) ....... 🙂

And a question while I'm here, why is it that I can chose which pages to import on a multi-page PDF , but only get page 1 if I choose to open the file ??

      TIA

@Igull When opening a multi-page PDF, the app will place each page on a separate canvas.

These can be accessed from the 'Canvas & Artboard' panel (Panels menu, or press Option-A).

(I don't know the answer to the first issue — you could send the file to the developer).

Thanks for that, I don't normally have the canvas panel showing, so hadn't noticed the multiple canvas/artboards. At least, the object sizes of the opened document are correct at 1:1, so I can just copy/paste as needed. TBH, it would be nice to pick and choose which pages you want to open rather than get the full document 🙂

I've had a long look at the preferences and nothing there. It seems that on import, VS scales the data to suit the artboard size rather than bring it in at the correct scaling of the original at 1:1. It's not a "bug" as such, it's obviously designed that way, but perhaps an option at import time to allow a 1:1 import would be a better choice. TBH, I'd have thought that the default would be 1:1 ??? I'll put a request across on the other part of the forum.

@VectorStyler I think it would be nice if the app would display the 'Canvas & Artboard' panel automatically when the user opens a multi-page PDF.

@Igull I think this will be improved once the related feature request is implemented.
