I have always wondered why in VS a clipping mask is simply defined as a mere "group"? Wouldn't it be more descriptive if it were to be identified as a "Clip Group" or "Clipped Group"?

@William-Kansepa You mean its name in the Layers panel?

MacBook Pro (Intel) running Monterey 12.6.4

@William-Kansepa Yes!. In VS any group can also have a shape that is used as the clipping shape of that group. Currently in the Layers panel this is shown as Group {Path} (or other shape name), if the group is not renamed.

@VectorStyler Thank you. I have noticed this, but why not Clip Group (Rectangle/Path)? Wouldn't this sound more descriptive?

Yes, the name somehow sounds unappealing...

@VectorStyler Clipping groups are shown now with the proper name in the Layers panel.
