when adding a stroke with bracket keys to a fill, could the amount start at 1pt instead of 2pts?

When adding a stroke to a fill (without a stroke) using the bracket keys, could the stroke start at 1pt instead of 2pts? I'd rather hit the bracket key twice to get to 2pts if needed because it's more work to go back and make it a 1 pt stroke
