Align Object Size command is also moving the objects

In the pic below, the 4 objects are selected and the Align Size button for horizontal minimum is clicked.

Top row shows the initial state.
Mid row shows the expected outcome, where the objects are resized upon their individual centre points.
Bottom row shows the actual outcome. The objects are correctly resized (to the width of the small blue one), but the objects move unpredictably.

Happens regardless of whether the alignment mode is by Order of Selection, Stacking Order or Geometric Order.
Similar results for Resize Medium and Resize Maximum, Horizontal and Vertical.
Similar results if Resizing to a chosen Key Object.

Is there any setting that governs this behaviour?

@Raven Added this to the backlog. Looks the there is a problem with the scaling center.
