      Hi,

I have an issue when exporting a VS document to an EPS file when some of the objects on the page are assigned Pantone colours.

Exporting the same file to PDF correctly identifies the Pantone Colours, exporting to EPS results in all objects on the page adopting an identical colour but not using a colour value I've applied to any object on the canvas.

I'm trying to understand why this is happening with the exported eps file... any input would be very welcome.

I've attached the VS file here to demonstrate...

      Many thanks

Just a quick update regarding this issue...

I've just updated VS to 1.1.083... The same issue with the lack of assigned Pantone colours in an exported EPS file however now at least the file exports using different CMYK colours rather than all objects exporting using the same identical colour but different Pantone colours are exporting using identical CMYK values, e.g., in the attached file Pantone 185 C, Pantone Yellow 012 C and Pantone 087 C all export to C:11 M:100 Y:84 K:0 in the EPS file...

@VectorByName I tried to replicate this issue with the attached file.

This is what I get when exporting to EPS: 0_1684310131916_Circles VS.eps

For me at least it seems that the colors are ok.

                Hi,

Something odd seems to be happening here...

After applying Pantone colours from the document palette to the various objects I can then click each object in turn on the canvas and it correctly highlights the selected colour in the document palette, however, if I Save and close the VS document and reopen it, selecting the objects which have Pantone colours applied (with one exception), no longer highlights the colour in the document palette.

The Pantone Yellow 012 C is still highlighted in the document palette when selecting the yellow square but neither the Pantone 341 C or Pantone 807 C are when selecting the respective objects on the canvas...

Having said that I'm also now seeing the same as you are when re-exporting the file as an eps though the issue still remains with the Pantone colours not being honoured or recognised on eps export which they are when exporting to a pdf.

As others have mentioned there is also still the issue when exporting files that the file extension includes the extension from your previous export, so you end up with .eps.pdf if you export a pdf after having exported an eps file even though this is not shown in the file name field in the export window.

                    Okay, thank you...

Do you anticipate the issue with eps files not maintaining Pantone colour specifications is resolvable as well?

Should be solvable, but it will take a bit of time.
