Offset path option to create step gradient from existing color to chosen color

In this Instagram clip, what I noticed was the option in the offset path panel to create a stepped gradient bard on the number of offset paths and choosing a color to transition to. This would be a great addition to the existing offset path tool.

The Contour tool (and panel) does something like this, and it is a "live" effect.
