Editing vector mask inside transform>mask>drawing has location paste discrepancy

I created a mask in the transform panel under mask>drawing. I am using a vector selection set to RGB black as my mask source.
When I edit the mask in isolation mode within the transparency panel, there seems to be a delay in location as I drag sections around. If I click and drag it over, it does not place it exactly where I clicked to release it. The farther I pull it across the screen, the larger the gap between my cursor and the section I am moving. Is there a way to fix this or improve it? -
