I don't think I'm making a mistake, but maybe I'm wrong in thinking I'm not
I try to create guides from the artboard margins... nothing happens.

@Pat Replicated here also, does not work for new document. Works from the Canvas -> Artboard Options.
Will be fixed ASAP. -
@VectorStyler "Glad" to hear it wasn't a mistake on my part... the first thought is "what did I do wrong"?

@VectorStyler I have a document with 2 artboards.
I want to design guidelines on one of them but I get the same guidelines on both:

@Pat Are the arboards all fully inside the view?
Try selecting the artboard first with page up/down, and then go to the artboard options. -

I will try to replicate this issue. It could be related to the recent (last build) changes on how the artboard options are edited.
