Settings not applied or remembered

@Ingolf Thanks for reporting this.
I tested in with MacOS Sonoma, and it seems to be working, even after the app is restarted.
One thing that might happen here is that for some reason the settings file could not be written.
In the beta, use the Help-> Reveal Workspace Folder and this will show the current workspace and settings files.
Exit the app, and remove these (or back them up if you have important customization), and then restart the app with (will have the default workspace). -
