      Hello,
I was attempting to to divide this tri-shape along the dotted lines

The only way that seemed quick enough was to use the Knife Tool with the shift key held down so it cuts a straight line. Unfortunately the starting and end points of the cut is not precise. I was hoping there was a way to snap the tool to the desired starting and end node. I tried turning on the snapping but it appears that the Knife Tool does not snap when the snap settings are set to 'Snap to Points'.

      1. Is there a way to get the knife to do precision cuts?
      2. Is there a faster, more accurate method to divide any shape at the nodes/points, to result in two closed shapes?

      Thanks! 😄

        steps:

        • enable snap to points
        • draw three lines
        • select all and divide

@VectorStyler Thank you! I don't know why I wasn't thinking of the combine operations for this. I appreciate the reminder! 😅
