Today, I recommended VS to a friend, and he sent me a video (https://youtu.be/R9lCsdEXic4) asking if VS has a brush with scaling capability. I tried it myself but couldn't find a brush specifically for scaling. I noticed that all the available Shape Effect Brushes can only perform movement, not scaling. However, there is a scaling option within the Shape Effects menu. I'm not sure if there are any other tools available for scaling.

@Li-Xiao There is a symbol scaling tool (the group of symbol tools) but it needs to be configured a bit to scale down.

@Li-Xiao This will be in the next build: https://recordit.co/ulOp8JgrUo
Currently there are problems working with down scaling, that will be fixed in the next build.

@VectorStyler Hmmm. I missed the symbol scaling tool. Thank you so much! VS never fails to surprise and delight.

When I read your post about the scaling brush.
An old thread from @Dazmondo came to mind
              that might interest you.

This is using a Bitmap to get the scaled Effect your after.
By using a bitmap and a symbol in the Repeater to
create halftone vector graphics (the scaled Effect)

              Here is the old thread.

Here is the video from @Dazmondo which you found also in this Thread.

@Subpath Thank you for providing the information. I often use Repeater for halftone vector graphics, and it is indeed fantastic. However, what I'm looking for here is the ability to make localized adjustments and scaling to existing content.

I know, but I wasn't sure if you knew about this option

@Subpath I saw in the Roadmap that there are many upcoming updates planned for Repeater, and I am really looking forward to them.

@Li-Xiao Repeater is one of the hidden gems in VS right now.
The experimenting I've done with it has been somewhat limited as I get a little lost with it, but I like what I've been able to do with it so far. So I welcome any examples and observations you figure out with it so I can learn it better.
I too, had noticed phase 2 coming up is dedicated to repeater updates. very excited to see what improvements with repeater that VS will offer!
