Make "Flip intersecting selection mode" a one time exception and then auto return to the default selection method

I really like this new feature! Sometimes it interferes with the Ellipse tool, but maybe I am holding it down too long? Could this just be a tap of the "E" key rather than a hold down?
My other request with this new option is for it to be a one time use - so the selection goes back to the default mode right away instead of requiring another selection made with holding down the "E" key to switch it back. My reasoning is that most people will have the default set to their primary preferred method and only need the opposite option on rare occasion.
