I'm new to VS so still learning to do things the proper way.

I can do this in AI. I struggle to replicate a usable result in VS, but could be because I'm still learning, so I'm posting here for this...

      How do I get this:

      (Vectorstyler)

To look more like this (ignore the missing hole above and transparency differences):

      (Illustrator)

This is the asset used for the "brush". Making it bigger is always an option, it's a bitmap I generated myself in a pixel-drawing program, but I'm also struggling with those gaps:

If anyone cares, this is a personal project I'm working on that's meant to be printed, laminated and then sent through a cutter before application. Will have some art to go with it and a playlist.

Edit: More helpful information and files provided:

@debraspicher When I open the VS file the colors in the image are all shifted (to blue).

Is it supposed to be the same image as on the screenshot?

There is a rendering artifact when the brush contains images, I will try to fix that.

Are there any other issues ?

@VectorStyler Yes, it is meant to be like the example. Here is the original resource: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AuWHX0h5bAoRiptF86EFhHrg09gZSg?e=lhHlf5

The only other issue is the image quality. I often times have to import much larger resources into VS than I would otherwise need to achieve a comparable result like I would in other programs. I don't know why the raster rendering is so much worse for low resolution files on my setup.

My default RGB profile is currently set to "Apple RGB" (it actually needs to be Adobe 1998 as I was testing at some point) so could explain a shift? Blue seems to be extreme. Maybe missing profile.

Could be that VS uses a simplified image sampling method for screen display.
I will try to solve this.

@VectorStyler The bitmaps do export with the same results also (on my end, anyway). What is shown in the OP is what I can export straight from the application. Thus, they're not screenshots. I should've made that clear.

A fix would certainly be appreciated. I do often make composites with my vectors and export. I can make the raster illustration/asset in Clip Studio or PS (depending), but being able to import those results impeccably is key. So it does impact the amount of finals I can do in-program. Comfortably, anyway. When I was working on this document, especially when resizing the vectors that contained the applied Brush, there was quite a bit of processing. I suspect because of the size of the assets, but that's my only workaround for the time being is to "go big"...

@debraspicher Was the think black outline of the circle in the OP intended or is that also an error?

@VectorStyler No, but there's a Hairline stroke that shouldn't be there (user error). Removing it there's still a seam, though.

Here is a larger version of the brush resource if it may be helpful for the purposes of internal testing:
