Trying to export a simple overlay with Linear Light blend mode applied over a white stroke, and getting very different outputs. All the tried vector format presets (PDF, PDF/X, SVG) fail to export it correctly. PNG and TIFF are fine. What am I doing wrong? Files included.

@JuurGroove Some of these blend modes are not supported by the vector formats.

The only thing that can be done here is to flatten to images.

@VectorStyler Oh, that's a shame. But shouldn't the PDF export flatten it by default then? I can't seem to find any "flatten to preserve appearance" or "flatten unsupported objects" checkbox in the pdf export settings. Or are you saying the only way to get it out using this blend mode is to save it out in a bitmap format?

            I will add this.

@VectorStyler Ok, I found a workaround without having to flatten the output.

              • sampled all the colors created by the blend mode
              • saved the swatches to the Palette panel
              • reversed the foreground object (stroke) and background
              • removed any blend modes
              • applied saved colors directly to the stroke and background

Would be great if the program could do this for me, but perhaps it's not so easy. Just an idea for future.
