I spot a Shortcut key difference.

The shortcuts that are displayed in VS
for "Next Selection" and "Previous Selection" are:

Previous Selection: CTRL + {
Next Selection: CTRL + }

This shortcut does not work, maybe because of german keybord
layout only and cannot be used because the "AltGr" key must be
pressed for "{" or "}".

I find out that instead the short cuts from above, this shortcuts
works:

CTRL(STRG) + "ß?" key for Next Selection
and
CTRL(STRG) + "`´" key for the Previous Selection.

@Subpath Yes, there are known some issues with the default shortcuts and keyboards with other languages.
