Modifier for eyedropper for more precise selections

Is there an option to zoom in and highlight the pixel the eyedropper tool is on? Saw this today online where in illustrator, if you press shift modifier while using the eyedropper tool, it enlarges and zooms in to the area and shows the color hovered over in a larger area.
