Should text layers auto update name if text is altered?

I had written out some text on a previous version of a job and then went in and altered the text for a similar job with different wording. The wording on the art board changed, but the name of the text in the layer panel retains the old name.
Would it make more sense to have it auto update?

@Boldline They should auto update. I tried to replicate this, and here the name in layers panel changes with the text (even added some shape effects, to make it the same.)
