Is it possible to copy or drag while pressing option key, an interior negative space of a fill shape?
I attempted to do this in VS without success. In this video I selected a negative space "hole" and was able to successfully move it around as I wanted. My next attempts at duplicating the negative space were not successful.

I jumped over to Illustrator to show the kind of thing I am hoping can also be done in VS. I used the same fill shape with the negative spaces as in VS. My artboard on Illustrator was gray.

@Boldline If the negative spaces are created by Group and then Combine, then it is possible.
Either isolate the group with double click, or use the deep select tool to select inside any group:

This tool is a mode of the Transform tool and can be selected in the context panel.
