Hi,
By "playing" with the modifier keys, I managed to set the line thickness asymmetrically but I don't know how to do it so that it can "become" a symmetrical control point again? Thanks

@PatrickM Post a link to the video, maybe there are some issues with the size.

When editing a path (Node tool), the context panel (top row) should contain some buttons showing the corner and segment types.

@PatrickM If the video is stored locally on your computer, copy it into a Dropbox folder, right-click the file and copy the link to it and post it here in a reply.

If you used the Recordit app to record the screen, go to that link (recordit.co/xyz…), copy the link from the browser's address bar at the top and paste it in a reply here.

@b77 Thanks ! I use Camtasia locally and my employer has his own server for storage and file sharing (so no more dropbox).

@PatrickM Got the files! What happens here is that the stroke width is both asymmetrical, and has a discontinuity at the starting node (width profile is not the same at the start and end nodes).

To fix this, open the Stroke panel (Alt+W), and at the end of the "Profile" row there is an options button. Click the button to open the stroke width options editor, here you can enable Symmetric again.

There is also a bug: When asymmetrical, the width tool should still adjust the stroke correctly at the starting node.
