Page layout feature

Is it possible to implement page layout feature, even a simple one?
It can be alternate mode with artboard feature since they may conflict each other. -

One that I think of is automatically creating pages as the text flows. Area there others? -

In the page layout mode:- The layer panel should show only objects in the current page.
- Facing page(spread) is needed. in this case, the layer panel should show objects in both page.
- Additionally "binding" setting is needed. it's the direction of pages.
(left to right for regular books, right to left for East Asian/RTL books.)
