I am trying to do a simple transformation on an object, in this case a square. I pick the bottom most nodes with the shape editor and want to move the nodes up, but only in a vertical direction. In other apps I would press shift to constrain the movement, but this does not seem to work in VS. I tried the snapping options, but none of these seems to do this simple thing. Could you help me out here?

Here are some screencaps of VS and Affinity Designer doing the same thing:

@postdes The little videos were helpful. I'm going to use those going forward. I tried the same thing you tried and I had the same issue. the shift key did not constrain

@postdes This looks like a bug, added into the backlog.

The node movement direction constrain should be fixed in build 194.
