      Hi,

      Still experiment with VectorStyler,

Is there a tool which allows to split a shape into different shape ?
I can see a scissor tool, a razor tool etc, but none seems to create two shapes.

Use case: split a cricle into two different semi circles, for eg.

Maybe there is a workflow involving splitting path at certain point and make new section after? If yes, A gif demo will be welcome 🙂

      Thx!

@X-Raym Yes, there are multiple tools and ways to do this:

One simple example here uses Exclude of a line from the ellipse:
        https://recordit.co/ud5dr3DVQL
(for some reason the menu on Mac is not shown in the recording).

Of course, the knife tool works also: https://recordit.co/zh9qqQgIoJ
(if Control is held, after the mouse is pressed, the knife tool cuts with a line).

In both cases a "Object -> Break Apart" is needed to separate the resulting composite shape.

There is also a shape builder tool, for more complex cases.

And the trim and join tool can be used to cut / intersect shapes.

This was the missing step in what I was testing, thx!

And the trim and join tool can be used to cut / intersect shapes.

I don't understand how to use this tool, it produces no effect apart from the red line.
But I just found the path panel, I can see I can split path form there, with the Shape Editor Tool which allows to select points on paths.

@X-Raym Trim and join is a bit different (it is not for cutting shapes), but it is a very good shape construction tool.

Here, I have four separate paths (drawn with the Pencil tool), that are trimmed and joined:
