      Sorry for the basic question. I seem to have lost my contextual menu at the very top of my screen. I went to preferences and saw a contextual menu option there, but it was not immediately obvious what I needed to do to fix it.

        @Boldline If I understand this correctly, you need to go under Panels > Context Panel.

          thanks @badcat - that solved it. I'm not sure how I turned it off but it wasn't intentional and then I was thinking it was a preference option I needed to use. thanks for the help!
