      Hi @vectoradmin

This was implemented a while ago now and it works great:
      https://www.vectorstyler.com/forum/topic/1367/artistic-text-tool-request/13

Having used it for a while and slept on the implementation I have a suggestion. I think the setting for how the tool works is misplaced in the preferences and too far away as well. And required knowledge about both preferences and shortcuts.

I suggest a toggle icon - or two icons where only one can be active - that are displayed in the context toolbar while a text tool(s) is active. That should take up a minimum of space and it is hauntingly intuitive and logical to find options for the text tool right there. 🙂

VS can then either use the mode used last time or just default to one of them, when you start the VS again. But VS should remember the last used mode while the program runs.

If you go with my suggestion I think you should remove the setting from preferences - a little spring cleaning. 🙂
