Can Shape Picker Tool not also change actual text to same as source?

If I use the shape picker tool to give a live text selection the same attributes as another live text (2nd live text has a different wording, different font, size, etc...) it also makes the wording identical. More often is the case, I'm trying to give a different live text word the same look and size as another piece of live text - otherwise I'd just copy and paste the original text

@Boldline This is a bit of a problem: the shape picker tool picks and applies shapes. In case of point text, the whole thing is a shape (text + formatting). It would be difficult to make exception for one shape type.
Maybe in this case the Edit -> Attributes -> Copy / Paste Character Style would be a better option?
