Is it possible to break/expand a Pattern brush within VS?

  • Q1: Once a pattern brush has been created from a vector shape, is it then possible to break apart the line drawn with the brush, in a similar way to that of expanding a blend into a group of objects?

Copy and pasting via Affinity Designer (for example) shows the line is definitely still made from individual vector shapes, as per the blue objects in the attached screenshot.

Q2: How does one delete a pattern brush once created?

    Thanks : ☺

  • @Jono

    Hi

    to Q1:
    Select your Pattern Brush
go to "Styles" and choose > Expand Stroke
then go to "Objects" and choose > Ungroup All
Now you will have separate Objects.

  • Perfect, thanks. 👍 (I knew there had to be a way!)

    to Q2:
go to Menu "Panels" choose "Presets" > "Brush Presets"
select the Brush you dont want
and press the "X" Symbol on the right.

  • Ah, brilliant. My test brushes were beginning to pile up a bit!
    Thanks again!
