I've drawn two intersecting paths with the pencil tool. I tried to follow the documentation (§ 26.1.7):

      • I select the path object(s) and select the node tool
      • I hold the 'alt' (W10) key
but I do not see a larger blue circle and nothing happened when I click over the intersecting point/node.
What do I do wrong ?
        Thanks,
        Patrick

@PatrickM It seems to be in conflict with some other feature (the Alt modifier key).
I add this to the backlog as a bug.

Use the Trim and Join tool for intersection cut and merge.

I tried it the way you and the manual described it
and I see a blue dot, but it's so tiny you can barely
see it and it doesn't work. Maybe a bug?

@Subpath It is a bug, the modifier key conflicts with some other feature.
