@vectoradmin Could we get the small data popup confirming the new opacity percentage when we swap the opacity using the number keys? So if I have an object selected and I tap the "2" key, we see the "20%" appear overtop the shape and then fade out?
It should refresh with every key stroke edit.
This will provide quick visual confirmation of what percentage is now current with the selected object(s) Thanks!

Typically in other programs, clicking on the Zero key will return the opacity of any shape back to 100%. I noticed that does not work for me in VS with the new opacity key settings. Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but this has been industry standard.
I did notice that if I press the same key enough times, it eventually goes back to 100% opacity (what is it going to in the middle steps? I understand the first tap of a key like 4 makes it 40%, if i then tap a 6, it becomes 46%, if I tap 4 again and then again... it does other things before getting back to 100%

@Boldline Still seems there is some issues. single tap double tap same number working. but is tap like two different number then it gives another value.
            e.g. 34 gives 44, 35 gives 55, 21 gives 11 values

@vectoradmin Ok just to test I forgot to place any object inside the layer and tap the number key that gives that values. Now again after adding a shape and tried it works.

@Jayanta-Das @vectoradmin In AD when layer is selected and tap the number key opacity is apply to the layer and if any object is selected then it applied to the object only.

@Jayanta-Das said in Opacity (0-9 keys):

In AD when layer is selected and tap the number key opacity is apply to the layer and if any object is selected then it applied to the object only.

That should also be the case in VS, except the Layer must be selected with the small circle at the end of the layer name row (selections in the Layers panel are not the same as on the canvas).

@vectoradmin I did as you said. Recording
You can see in the recording when I select layer and tap on number key nothing happen.

                        @Jayanta-Das is right.

                        • If I select a layer (single click in layers panel!), no response from numeric keys
                        • If I then select the first object in the layer in the layers panel, no response from numeric keys
                        • If I then select the same object on the canvas, numeric keypresses activate the opacity setting code
                        • If I then select another object in the layer in the layer panel, no response from numeric keys
                        • If I then select the same object on the canvas, numeric keypresses activate the opacity setting code

                        Etc. 🙂

@Ingolf Now I got it! It is because the Layers panel has the key input and consumes it.
I will try to fix it. Meanwhile, clicking in a filled area of a selected object (or layer) should set the key input to the editor.
