I like how AD make Clipping and Masking easy in the layer panel.

Clipping works the same way in VS. Almost. Little difference in the UI.

VS: Drag an object over another in the layers panel - it will be a subobject just like in Affinity and there will be clipping 🙂

@Ingolf Yes it is there. But what I am pointing is AD have both masking and clipping manage in layer. Thats a cool feature.

Oh, got ya. Agreed - easy to use, easy to remember.

@Jayanta-Das Added this to the feature request backlog. But I have to work out the details first.
What happens if a group (with a content) also has a mask?

Also: if an object already has a mask, in VS the Layers panel will show the mask icon after the object name. This can be clicked to open the masking options.

Just sharing a general thought before I forget. Each time I use the Object>Arrange>Move inside Last, I'm expecting it to be a full clipping mask automatically - and I then remember I need to still go back in and move it inside the sublayer - @VectorStyler is there an easier way to do this?

"Move Inside Last" places the selected objects inside the last selected object, this should result in clipping into the shape of the last object.
If something is different, it could be a bug?
