Display Preview Issue

  • In a normally created VS file, the line colour while in Display Preview mode (cmd+Y on mac) is a simple black hair line.
If I open an AI file in VS (with a view to saving it as a VS file) , in Display Preview mode, the line colour is a very light green hair line - almost invisible.
Changing the viewable colour of the line has no effect on it's preview colour of course 🙂 Being light green on a light canvas or artboard background makes it very difficult to see.

I can't find a way to change this colour or line thickness anywhere ?

    TIA

The color is the Layer color (Layers panel, click on the color knob before the layer name).

The AI file probably contained a different layer color.

Ah, I just checked the original AI file and it seems you are correct in what you say - it really didn't click as AI draws the 'outline' (display preview) in black no matter what layer you are on (unless there is an AI preference that has been permanently changed on mine for 40 years 🙂 ) - it doesn't use the layer colour ?
