I don't know if it's supposed to or not - my muscle memory was expecting that if I held down the shift modifier while using the pen tool, it would restrict my line... but maybe I'm incorrect? For example, I want to be sure the next segment of my line is exactly at a 90 degree angle... is there another tool or option I need to use for this?

@Boldline The Control key does that (after the mouse is pressed).
