      This would be an amazing addition to the function of the eraser tool.
      Using option key modifier to make it a lasso tool delete capability and also the shift modifier option to create a rectangle shape for clean edge deletions

          I had already been thinking about using the lasso feature combined with the eraser tool much like we can make a selection with lasso qualities using the node selection tool already - when I came across this video. The addition of the rectangle option with another modifier seemed to be yet another great option.
          There are many different ways I end up compiling a vector design. sometimes it's building up basic shapes, other times with the pencil tool fill, and the path brush/eraser tool. I feel like these added options to the eraser tool, when added in the best way possible, would help fill out the circle of options

            @VectorStyler Please make sure it snaps to points, grid, guidelines, whatever is enabled in the Snapping panel.
