      I want to draw "calligraphic" strokes with a stylus - a thin line when moving up and a thick line when moving down.

      Here is video comparing Affinity Designer and VS Pencil tool - Recordit

      I think the first 2 strokes are ok in VS and even more natural than in AD. But then VS starts to averaging or interpolating strokes (line fluttering can be seen in VS while in AD it "stands" still and "remembers" its pressure change position).

      Is it a bug or settings problem?

      Win 11, XP Pen Deco 01 V2 graphic tablet

        @Harry Looks like the width profile goes through too much simplification in VS, for long paths.
        I will improve this.
