Eraser polygon shapes
-
Can polygon (like triangle, square, pentagon etc.) shape option for eraser be added? Stretching options for those would be great as well.
-
@Harry I'm sure it can be done, but can I ask how important is to have this feature? Is it something that is often needed in vector graphics?
-
@b77 It would be helpful when "drawing" with eraser in negative space
-
@Harry First: I'm sure the developer will pop in and say that he will add this to the
backlog, no problem. But what I'm asking is how often is drawing in negative space needed?
If it's often needed, then it should be prioritized, if not then drawing a polygon or
star at the end of the eraser stroke and subtracting that with Exclude from the
object would be a valid workaround for now.

like to mentioned there is also a kind
of Live Boolean in VS. Is call Composite.
( works non destructive, the Shapes used for a Boolean
that way can still be selected and edited )Just hold the ALT-Key while do any Boolean
(Edited, because i made a mistake, see my post below)

@Harry said in Eraser polygon shapes:

For single click mode, this might work. But for drawing with this kind of shapes, it would not be very useful.

I corrected my post above, because of a mistake i made.
I had forgotten that, to select a Member of a Composite Group,
you first have to switch on "Select ... members of Composite
Mode Tool" first.
Then the selection of objects works in composite mode. Its the Icon on the right.
