        @Boldline Interesting… but it's pretty easy in VS — select the paths, cut them at intersections then combine them into a closed shape with Union: https://recordit.co/W872FB3Pzh

        So in VS I don't need to circle over the intersections, on the other hand the outer segments are not deleted automatically. 🙂

          @b77 true! good point. I forget the union tool will work while retaining stroke properties (too used to illustrator where it either erases it or expands it, I forget which), "join" (J) also works to join the pieces together. I wonder if there is any real difference between union and join?

          There's always multiple ways to complete a task in a good vector program.
          The question becomes, how many flashy tools do you add for the sake of ease and efficiency and how many is too much and bogging the program down?

            @Boldline The Trim and Join tool does this. You have to swipe over the parts that are removed, and the path is connected automatically.
