      The Deselect command works as expected when using the Transform tool (the regular pointer), but is not working when using the Node tool.

      Have tried the 'Select > Deselect' menu command, the command-shift-A key shortcut and the 'Selection > Deselect' right-click menu.

      I would expect it to completely deselect the object/s, but it would also be ok if it first deselected any currently selected node/s, and a second use then deselected the whole object/s.

      Is there any preference that affects this?

      Clicking empty space works, but is not always possible if zoomed in and no empty space is visible.

        @Raven

        indeed, deselecting selected nodes, with the command "Deselect"
        does not work here either (win 10).

        A workaround I found in my trials
        is to click once with the left mouse button on your stroke/contour
        where no node is

        another, more curious solution i found
        is to use the "Reselect" command, works here

        Here is a video in which I show both possibilities

        Win 11
        CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, 6-core.
        GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070.

          @Raven I think this could be a bug with the Deselect command. Will be fixed ASAP.
