Allow internal clipped objects to be warped

I wanted to see if it was possible to allow objects clipped within another to be individually warped. In this example I have a group of tapering lines clipped within the letter shapes. I can warp the whole group, but I cannot access just the tapered horizontal group to warp it singularly.

@Boldline This should be possible, maybe not with the interactive tool, but with the Shape Effects panel (or the shape effect icon in the Layers panel).
