      I have a design where I would like to alter the color of the text across the board based on existing colors. So in this case, all the gold colored text, I'd like to make orange instead. The text is alternating colors on a same path. I tried first to select a section of live text that has the color I want to edit, then I chose "select>shape type>text on path thinking that would limit selection results to text on path and then I could click on the new color I wanted and they would all change. This did not happen. Am I missing a step to accomplish this?

      Here is a video showing the issue trying to select all the same color live text as well as the issue mentioned below:

      On a side note, when I manually switch the color of a selected word on a path, the size of the word is altered ever so slightly. in full disclosure, this text on a path was initially made in illustrator and I opened the file in VS and have been editing it - if that is a factor.

        @Boldline Use Color Styles.

        1. Select the color (eg the colored word) you want to change
        2. Create a Color Style from it. Make sure you assign the color style you just created to all the text/word you wanna change.
        3. Go to the Styles panel and change the color. All text that has the color style assigned to it will change.

          @Boldline Using styles is the best way to deal with these scenarios.

          I will check what happens with the select the text on path objects, this could be a bug.

            @Boldline Select by shape (and other selection) commands cannot select parts of the text only.
            I tested this, and here I get all text shapes selected as objects.

            So only the use of color styles remain for this.
