I'm trying to use the Contour Tool. When I bring up the Contour Panel and select "Smooth" from the Steps dropdown, regardless how I adjust it I don't see any change. Tried it for both fill and stroke but nothing.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
