How is the option for right-click submenu upon release of the control key best used?

I saw an option for activating the right click submenu upon release of the control key. How are other people using this feature? When i tested it out, it seemed to get in the way for me as I was scaling objects and the like. I'm open to learning new ways and ideas - someone obviously felt it was useful so I'm interested!
