    Should the live text blue line extend beyond the word?

      Is the blue line indicating live text supposed to extend beyond the live text word? It throws me off.

        @Boldline The extra length was added for the case of text on path. If this line is dragged it becomes a path for the text.
        I will try to improve this.

          @VectorStyler In previous versions it didn't exceed the width of the shape text object.
          Now it's one space(?) longer which makes simple symmetrical bending of the text not possible
          without first moving the right node to the left.

          MacBook Pro (Intel) running Monterey 12.6.4
