What is that tiny square object that you sometimes see appearing when drawing insecurely?
Does it harm?

Was the model shape options view opened when drawing? It might be a very small shape.

Occurs regulary so now and then while drawing rectangles/text/clicking beside object to clear.
'Model Shape View' doesn't ring a bell. Can't find anything that points to that definition.

Tried to replicate and I think I found it: it is the birth of a new shape text object.
If no text is entered it disappears.

In drawing mode, do not use click to clear selection, that will open the shape options view to create a new shape.
Use the Esc key for selection clearing.
